It was working in the preinstalled Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I haven't tried with other wifi but I need my 7 to be working with this router, so even it's working with other wifi, it is not the case.Īll the steps in this question are also applied with no password authentication and WEP and 802.1x authentaications too. I created wireless profiles according with my router settings in my machine but still I cannot have the wireless. I changed some other settings there too but no joy and everytime I uninstall and install the driver, it gets its original settings. I say, hmm, although I uninstall the drivers from device manager, let's delete those drivers manually. I say ok, let's try out Intel's original driver that it detects in its site, same thing occurs. I say ok, let's try out VAIO Vista driver, same thing occurs. I say ok, let's try out for VAIO original 7 driver and no joy again, everytime it fails and I got windows was unable to connect to error. Then I failed to connect my wireless network. The issue starts while I was installing 7, 7 says ok, let's connect net, I input my credentials which is 8 character with WPA (not WPA 2 since router has no support for this) I have a problem with reputated VAIO and Windows 7.

Before reading the question, keep that in mind that the wireless driver in the device manager has no x or ? signs and 7 says ok, I recognize your driver perfectly without an issue, so put it simply, my problem looks like some halloween issue.
